More detailed information about the avalanche: 

Witnessed active cornice releases on an East aspect during the afternoon hours of 4/8. Cornice debris was broken up by rock bands on the upper third of the slope, then deposited onto lower slopes where loose/wet slides were triggered. Observed on a nameless point above Tranquil Lakes. 

Lack of re-freeze at 7393ft, saturated snow pack, deep ski penetration, survival skiing.
