More detailed information about the avalanche: 

There were several recent small loose snow avalanches on various aspects originating from steep and/or rocky terrain at higher elevations.  These entrained the recent snow, up to 10" deep, and ran on the firm crust below.  On sunnier aspects, these ran more as wet loose this afternoon. See photo. (L/WL-N-R1-D1-I). 

I also skier triggered a number of small loose avalanches on steep terrain (L-ASc-R1-D1-I/S)
