We went for a short tour into Cascadilla Creek in the Flathead Range.
Above normal temperatures have left the snow surface moist at low and mid-elevations resulting in small wet loose slides, rollerballs, and sticky conditions.
The Persistent Slab structure was found at low-elevations consisting of a 16" slab resting on a faceted rain crust. We did not travel above this due to the poor surface snow.
Substantial fields of alder remain an impediment to travel.

The top 6"+ of the surface snow at low-elevations is moist. Forecasted below normal temperatures Monday and Tuesday will produce a crust in areas that developed a moist surface.
