Small storm-related instabilities in Wahoo Creek

Today in Wahoo Creek, we found a handful of small instabilities involving last night's snow that were easily managed by staying heads-up around terrain traps.  

• Storm totals: 10"-12" of dense, heavy snow at low elevations.  Surprisingly only 6-8" of low-density snow at mid elevations.  No signs of wind effect where we traveled.  
• We ski cut numerous test slopes and suspect rollovers with limited instabilities.  We produced one small storm slab that broke 12" deep at low elevations, and as we gained elevation, the snow was cohesionless and only produced sluffing.  No cracking observed during the tour.
• Today, the freezing level rose to 4400' and there were bouts of greenhousing solar.  This moistened the snow surface at low elevations and on E/S aspects at mid elevations, spurring a handful of small, wet loose avalanches. 
• On shaded aspects at mid-elevations, the snow surface remained dry and we skier triggered a number of small dry sluffs in the new snow.  
• We had decent visibility of Nyack and could not see any avalanche activity.  We spotted one very thin storm slab and a couple of D1.5 sluffs that ran at mid-elevations last night.
