Lake McDonald Beach Vacation

Morning tour to Mt. Brown Lookout to look for notable or new wet slides.

• As of this morning, there were no slab avalanches visible.  There were plenty of wet loose avalanches from this week but it is getting harder to pin down the timing of what ran when.  We did not some fairly fresh-looking wet loose activity on high NE aspects of Stanton.  
• At 7,000', corn o'clock was roughly 10 a.m. on southeasterly aspects and noon on southwesterly aspects.  Low elevations were bottomless wet facets with minimal refreeze.
• Around 1:15 p.m., we heard a rumbling avalanche (at least D2 coming from the vicinity of Stanton or Vaught). We couldn't see the terrain from our location in the trees.
