Sitting on not-quite-frozen MF grains most aspects; new snow a candidate for near-surface faceting (melt layer re crystallization) with colder temps. Quick profiles to assess near surface snow structure ENE 5700', NNE 5600', S 5950'. plus additional hand pits. Two MFcr near surface on slopes in NE quadrant, with moist snow below. Mostly 1-finger hard, fine-grained rounds below these crusts. Discontinuous ice lenses present top ~50 cm. Still mostly a winter snowpack, though little distinct layering.
