Surface conditions were locked up with 2/1 crust. We skied steep terrain avoiding the isolated pockets of wind drifted snow.
Debris piles look like they ranged from 1.5 to 2. Long distance away, but easy to see with the naked eye.
Spotted two slab avalanches on the garden wall with binocs from Lake McDonald Lodge. Evidence of two distinct crowns and wide debris piles.
