Wet loose in Cascadilla

I brushed up on my Spanish and headed to the international district of the Middle Fork for an afternoon of sunbathing and wet avalanche viewing.

• 100% sunshine and warm overnight temperatures produced numerous rollerballs (thousands?), and a handful of loose wet slides ranging from D1 - D2 in size on southerly slopes.
• Debris piles were not overly impressive due to breezy conditions, possibly slabby snow surfaces, and zero snow in the trees to act as a trigger. Most slides started well below the starting zones; ~ 200-400' below ridgeline elevation.
• 2 paths that ran during the February 1 rain event slid today, and either gouged the surface to the post-Feb 1 condition, or removed slabs in the bottom of confined gullies. 
• Northwesterly aspects had numerous rollerballs just above the valley floor from recent warming.
