Spruce forest terrain park

Needed to stretch the legs and clear the mind, without adding stress. Chose northerly terrain with modest slope angles above 6500 feet. 

• 10-`2" of recent snow above the latest crust to about 5300', where the crust disappeared. That includes this morning's 2"; everything above the slab got moist and settled a few inches by mid afternoon. 
• Above 6500 ft, another party reported significant settlement since yesterday, though putting a number on it would be hard. The snow at this elevations was not right side up, due to a denser later about 8" below the surface. Maybe drifted snow. We found some drifts in the prior day's skin track above this elevation as well. 
• We saw 2 dry snow sluffs from the previous day on easterly terrain, but visibility was too poor to survey the area from our highpoint. 
• We stomped with skis on and off above a northasterly slope on the lee side of a ridge but could not produce a collapse without venturing too far onto the slope. We had no intention of skiing it, so we traversed back to moderate (31*) slope with clean runout and enjoyed our run down through the spruce forest and its many terrain park features. 

We kept it simple, choosing not to descend in terrain where we *might* have been able to avoid committing to slopes that harbored the PS problem.
