Swimming with the sharks.

My 20 y/o self got the best of my 42 y/o self and told me I should swim with the sharks and ski the shallow early season pow.

• Windy. Sustained 20-30 mph. WSW. Cloudy
• Localized cracking on wind loaded slopes. No collapsing.
• 20-24" Fist to 4 finger hard slab above a knife hard ice mass above ground.
• Cracking on one steep small gully around 6000' (see image).
• Pretty shallow snowpack. 30" total at 6500'.

Good skiing above 5500' BUT sharks (snow snakes... whatever you want to call them) lurk in them thar hills.
