Quick Observation
Traveled from west side reservoir road, and explored some southeast facing slopes.
The crust was significant with a couple inches of new snow on top.
Lots of whumping as the crust broke as we traveled up, and subsided as we reached about 6,800 ft.
Snow pit tests showed crust layer, and another thick crust about 6" down. We had non propogating results.
We skied super mellow treed terrain and stuck to 30 degree slopes. And although I thought skiing the crust might be bad, it was quite lovely!
