Wandered up the 270 trail powered by beef jerky and Xmas candy. Brief riming changed to s2 by early afternoon with an inch or so accumulating on my tracks by the end of the day. Stayed on mellow to moderately steep terrain and did not find any crusts or much for slabby feeling snow in my brief diggings. With no intentions of being surprised I felt like my terrain selected to for the day was ambitious enough.
Depths above 6000 were around 150-175 on the east aspect I spent the most time on. Boot/ski pen wasn’t much higher than my knees and Made for easy travel. Wind was starting to build snow sculptures in the afternoon but nothing alarming from what I saw.
