found 30-40 cm of new snow, medium density, mostly right side up. mild wind effect near our entrace and exit off the swan crest. today's storm never really materalized as advertised, and really only deposited 1+". we stayed east of the swan crest and had minimal wind in the snow. dug one pit at 6500', east aspect. hs of snow was 230 cm, with notable persistent slab layer around 95 cm down. we did get propgation twice at ect2 and ect6 about 35 cm from surface, suggesting poor bonding between the rime event yesterday and new snow. we kept the skiing to a low angle, 25-30, on broken treed terrain and had no instability while skiing or skinning.
