Low elevation dirt prompted a boot/snowshoe hike up to ~6k to generate a pre-storm data point. Turns out the snow was actually in pretty nice shape above 4650'. Weather was overcast, moderate winds from the S at 6000'.. Trace of precipitation. Some snow blowing out of trees but no loading observed..Did not see any obvious surface hore but did encounter some isloated rime crusts in open areas above 5200'.
Informal route off road to Wolf Creek and past Elk Spring.
