Quick Observation

Several avalanches, up to D2 in size observed this morning on Running Rabbit, Snowslip, and Furlong. Many wet loose as well, but did note crowns on the south face of Running Rabbit and on the north face of Furlong. Estimate these were D2 in size. More details for the D2s under the Avalanche tab.

Observed all this activity around 0930 and estimate many of these ran during the downpour and rising freezing levels before sunrise. The advertised cold front arrived a bit sooner than expected (just fine with me) and no additional avalanche activity was observed after mid-morning.

Did not get a great view of this avalanche. Could barely make out a crown at one point then a debris pile below at another time. So many specific details unknown. But debris looked to be about D2 size.
