Toured to around 6500' in the Noisy Basin skiing north and northeast aspects. There was 12-18" of snow relieving us of chattering teeth on the 1/13 crust. We did find cracking when cutting switchbacks on the skintrack. Interestingly enough, it was failing on a graupel layer 2 inches above the 1/13 crust and not the crust itself. Hand pits showed shearing on this layer as well. Cornices on ridge tops were sensitive to stomping. We avoided open faces off of ridge tops but had fun skiing trees and open terrain lower down on slopes.
