Snowmobiled up to Red Meadow and into the north facing bowls of Whitefish Mtn to scope conditions. Lots of new snow (2 ft) and lots of SW wind evidence up high. Some of the steep north facing bowls had slid mid storm (see photo for partially covered crown lines) and debris was evident. The deep but relatively dense new snow made for great sledding and would be good skiing too. We were unable to get any short steep slopes to crack or slide and believe me, we tried.
