A chilly ride today in the Swans.
We found no evidence of recent avalanches.
There was minimal disturbance to yesterdays snow by wind.
We did find Buried Surface Hoar. It was hidden under a 45 cm, stout windslab from last week. This layer was unreactive in our test, however, it was well preserved and standing tall in a nice grey line in the pit.
There was approximately 10 inches of fresh snow from the last storm.
In places where there had been a little wind we were easily able to trigger thin(1-2 inches) wind slabs on test slopes.
What remains of the crust is supportable.
