Within an Avy 1 course we dug multiple pits on the East facing slope below Goulies. All pits were on similar aspects and elevation within 150 meters of each other. We found spacial variability within the snow pack.
Out of the three pits that were dug, results were:
•ECTP17 @ 40cm from the surface. •ECTN16 @ 40cm from the surface.
•ECTN23 @40cm from the surface.
Test results were on a possible sun crust with partially preserved buried surface hoar. The preservation of the surface hoar varied between pits. Total snow depth was around 245cm.
