Skied south-facing sheltered terrain yesterday up at Marion. We did our best to stay in the sun all day, which (was lovely!) and didn’t seem to impact the snow, which remained light and uncohesive. The new storm snow (8-10”) sits in a hard supportable crust. We could find wind-affected snow on the ridge top, but the sheltered terrain once we dropped off the ridge was fluffy and untouched, except by the crowds of folks also seeking the magical combo of sunny, sheltered, and low-angle pow.
