Quick Observation
Snowmobiled the Porcupine Trail just south of Swan Lake to its terminus plus a mile to 6,000ft.
Several Rain crusts and sun/rain crusts at pit location, aspect E (100 degrees) on 35% slope.
Strong rain crust to about 5,600ft, 2-3cm thick.
New snow-10cm, topped with graupel.
First Rain crust 10cm below new snow, 4cm thick, second rain/sun crust @ 52 cm, 3cm thick, fourth at 64cm.
No propogating results, ECTN 13cm @ 10cm, ECTN 26 @ 52cm.
Total snow depth at pit site 170 cm ( variable ~20cm).
No signs of recent avalanches, but very little terrain to review.
