Traveled up to Marion Lake, did a couple laps down to the lake and then skied into Dickey creek and conducted a couple sheer test and conducted CT tests. Spent afternoon skiing Dickey Creek Northern aspects:
-Crust from this weekend observed on all S, SE, SW aspects on Marion Lake drainage with new snow coverage very variable due to lots of wind effect (ranged from scoured to crust to 25 cm depending on location).
-No crust formation found above 5500 feet on the N, NE aspects of Dickey creek. New snow on these north aspects averaged 15 cm but was also variable.
-Moderate west winds with flurry throughout day and notable strong gusts. Despite this, new snow wind slab formation was minimal.
-CT test on Dickey creek NE aspect : CT5 Q1 down 15 cm; CT26 Q2 down 114 cm on graupel
