Toured up the Snowslip/Running Rabbit drainage. Supportable crust with a few inches of light snow on top up to about 6000'. Crust was gone above that, with variable wind slabs forming in more open terrain. Winds were howling all day. Wind slabs seemed worse on the Snowslip side, so we headed up toward Running Rabbit. Stayed well below the ridge line and in the trees all day. Wind slabs were forming all day on both sides of the drainage. Lots of cracking in very thin slabs throughout the day, but building in depth throughout the day. In the trees, the snow was light and fluffy and kept refilling our skin and ski tracks all day long. No pit because, brrrrrrr, just chose to stay in mellow terrain. Ski cut a couple of small steep rollovers, with shallow cracking across the faces but minimal snow moving. Skied across very frozen avalanche debris at lower elevation coming off the east face of Running Rabbit, likely a natural from the cycle earlier in the week. Couldn't see a crown, but visibility was limited. Couldn't get a photo, because, again, brrrrrrr.
