Quick Observation
Toured up Grant Ridge looking for wind affected snow.
6-8" of relatively low density snow comprised the snow surface at all elevations.
Recent wind affected snow was noted at both mid and upper elevations but was unreactive.
Impressive recent cornice growth was observed at mid and upper elevations. Cornice growth at mid elevations had occurred within a thick stand of medium aged trees.
New cornice growth was soft and failed with moderate ski kicks with resulting minimal loose snow slides.
Minimal cracking was observed with no shooting cracks.
