Quick Observation
6 inches of new snow as we pulled up to the parkinglot below shed 10
We toured to the top of Devils Hump and skied West face, then exited NW aspect of Furlong.
Light to Moderate winds below 6,500 and Moderate plus winds on summit ridgetops
Up to 30 cm of new, dry snow above 6,000 feet
New snow seemed to bond ok to surface
Slabs were not forming yet
During 4 runs we triggered 4 small slabs, 1 during each run on steeper rolls and at lower elevations. The slabs broke 20 plus cm down, but did not run far
No signs of cracking and no signs of natural avalanches.
Our skin track was filling in each up track with new snow and wind.
WInter came back today and the skiing was fantastic
