Quick Observation

Doing reconnaissance work for our weather station on Tunnel Ridge and took note of current snowpack / weak layer distribution:

  • Not enough snow for any avalanche concerns at the moment
  • High, northerly slopes have isolated patches of continuous snow coverage. See photos.
  • Lingering snow is either well developed facets (2+mm) or melt forms.
