More comments about the snowpack and weather:
Shallow pack capped by rain crust below 5000 ft. Increasing depths nicely up to ridge lines where snow pack was 5 ft or more in non windloaded areas. Dug a pit at 6000’ on a S aspect and found a nicely homogenized snowpack where I was. Right side up (unlike the pictures) with facets on the bottom that were not sugary but surprisingly cohesive and rounding nicely. CT26 on a faint layer of graupel 64 cm from ground.
