Lots of wind evidence especially above 5,500ft - drifts, pillows, sculpted surfaces, wind trap crust. Felt one settlement and some hollow sounding areas. We did not go above 5,800ft due to obvious lee and cross loading. It was also terrain with a history of avalanches even this year. That said there was good skiing in protected areas and the coverage is much improved. The day warmed significantly (23 degrees at 1000am, 36 degrees at 330pm) and the snow became heavy and adherent on the way out. Mostly cloudy skies and winds around 10mph. There was blowing snow off the ridges higher up. We did not see any new avalanches nor did we trigger cracks or slabs.
