We found north-facing aspects develop into active wet loose conditions by mid-day.

• Cloudy weather overnight made for a poor refreeze only a few inches thick.  Boot pen into wet grains is still full-depth on sunny aspects, especially near trees and rocks.  
• The freezing level rose to around 6,000' under overcast skies and light precipitation.  This moistened the snow surface on previously dry north aspects. 
• We encountered rollerballs, pinwheeels, several small natural wet loose avalanches, and triggered several wet loose avalanches at mid and low elevations on northerly aspects.  The slides at low elevations gouged to the ground and would have been dangerous in larger terrain, gullies, or if they pushed you into a tree.  
• We got views of Wahoo Creek and Rescue Creek to document last week's cycle.  More of the same, although not quite the huge carnage we were hoping for.  A handful of D2 - D3 wet loose and wet slabs off of Penrose and adjacent ridge.  The northwest and northeast aspects of Wahoo and Rescue faired pretty well with only minor rollorballs and debris.
