Headed out today with the goal of keeping our angle dangling at 35 degrees or less. On the hike up to Goulie noticed some small slides coming off of ski tracks heading down to the ponds. Our quick hand pit told us the recent snow was willing to slide with little effort. After a couple runs of low angle pow, I stomped around above a 35-40 degree rollover, that was also more exposed to wind transported snow, and the shooting cracks led to a small D1 slide.
Also found a thin sun crust on the south aspect under last night's 2" of snow.
