We headed out from Flower Point looking for some nice turns. Generally, these were to be had higher up, as the bush got progressively more aggressive as we descended down the benches into Canyon Creek. Light to moderate winds at the ridgetop weren't moving much snow; skies were consistently overcast and the temp stayed below freezing. I was curious to duplicate the pit results of a previous observation that dug on an E aspect atop Ghoulie; we had a low quality shear at CT26 and a couple ECTNs all far above the crust bonanza. Aside from very light sloughing of new snow on steeper (upper 30s) aspects, we witnessed no avalanche activity or red flags.
