Traveled to Peak 6996 in southern Glacier Park to assess the Persistent Slab problem and observe avalanche activity from the 12/17-19 storm cycle.
Traveled the standard route to the summit and descended the far skiers right of the east facing bowl.
The majority of the east bowl slid during this event. I may be underestimating the crown width and Relative Size due to the cold temperatures which were creating brain and body freeze while mired in the late afternoon shadows. The far skiers right, in the trees, remained unscathed. Avalanche appears to have run 2/3 path. Of note: the popular skiers right of center line slid!
