Toured from Buffalo Acres to the Haskill XC trails today to check out how the new snow has bonded to the deadly ice crust at lower elevations. Travel off trail was rather plesant on the fresh 3 inches of snow and it bonded well to the old icey surface. I observed no new avalanches and did not ski anything over 10 degrees. At my high point of 3600' the snow was starting to become a bit sticky. It is reaaly nice to have fresh snow out there in the backcountry again!
