Toured up Skiumah towards Penrose and beyond today. Found 3" of new snow around the lake and calm winds, however, once we ascended above the lake we noted significant increase in wind activity and wind transport. We witnessed one natural sluff running full length to the lake and set off 4 wind slabs, varying from 2-6" deep, 30 to 100 ft wide and running 100 to 300 ft in length. We estimated wind gusts of 25+ mph.
