Toured into the new hot spot of the middle fork. It was 34 degrees leaving the car and there was a heavy 4-6" with a rain crust on top until about 4600'. From there there was up to 30 to 40 cm of new snow, upside down with 5-10 cm of heavier and dense snow on top. Numerous point releases, especially at lower elevation. No other natural activity noted. Wind did increase during the early afternoon hours while the clouds cleared.
Dug one pit at 6200', generally N aspect, depth approx 240 cm. Had Q3 esque failures at CT2 10 cm, CT6 20 cm, CT 12 40 cm, and Q2 at Ct 22 75 cm. No propagation in the ECT, with similar failures to the CT.
