Corn Central

Toured and bootpacked up to 7600' near the Continental divide trying to ski steep terrain with the refreeze overnight.

• The snow was firm, and the melt/freeze crust was a bit softer and moist than expected.
• It was cloudy to start the day and cleared gradually but a little earlier than expected. 
• We skied steep terrain, and got out from underneath it as ice chunks started to rain down from above. 
• Shaded aspects had a much more stout crust.
