Diverse conditions today on our tour. It was a relatively calm and sunny day. There were a few gusts that would blow melting snow chucks out of the trees. In the morning, good stable skiing on NE, NW, slopes. Noticed a small surface hoar layer that was being broken down by the warming temperatures and the sun. As the day continued and the temperature increased, we noticed the snow getting progressivly more wet and heavy as we changed aspect to E, SE, S, SW, and W. The snow started to stick not only to our skins but ski bases. Noticed small wet loose sluffs on steep slopes but nothing in the areas where we were skiing. We avoided open, steep, wind loaded slopes as well as southern exposure open, steep slopes due to warming temperatures.
From WMR we went south and east out to Flower Point past Ghoulies toward Haskill Basin. We were planning to ski the open face of Haskill Basin however, we missed our window and the snow was heavy, sticky, and thick. We decided to ski more westerly and north facing slopes that were less sun effected we returned to WMR.
