Just noting some surface hoar that formed overnight 11/21 in the valley bottom of the north fork. 9 degrees and foggy conditions this morning at 8:30am. Fog burned off around 11:00. Picture attached shows the surface hoar that formed on a work bench. Carpenters pencil for scale. Feathers we equally sized on the snow surface but photographed better on the bench. Afternoon sun melted the feathers in open areas but in shaded spots they survived the clear/warm day.
