Toured above Essex. Began our tour about 9am, and ascended to 6800ft by aboutr 10:30am. Mild weather, but stayed below freezing for the duration of our tour. Found stable conditions on S and SSE aspects. Skied slopes about 35 degrees in gladed trees with no concerns. Visability was good throughout the day, with very minor winds. Did not see any sun until we were back at our car by 3pm. By that time, we noticed tree bombs falling as temps warmed up at lower elevations. Skiing was fun and playful with in well consilidated snow. Found no rain crusts where we were.
