Quick Observation

Found a welcome slight return to winter with 4-5 inches of new snow at 6000 feet. N facing terrain was cold and dry with a 2 in variable crust, SW had 5 in crust and was getting a little wet with higher clouds and some sun. We kicked off a couple slow moving, small loose wets that could of knocked you off your feet. Crust disintegrated at 4600 ft on sw terrain. About a foot or two of variable punchy snow was all that carried us to the valley floor.
