Mid-afternoon drive up the Middle Fork and JF Stevens Canyon to monitor wet snow activity

• Widespread rollerballs from yesterday and today on steep, low-elevation slopes, with some the size of truck tires. 
• Rollerballs on steep, sunny mid elevation slopes from today, some starting started as high as 7000 feet. These weren't as widespread as lower, but the debris ran into point releases from lower downslope, ran hundreds of feet, or some combo of both. Gullies tended to collect the debris, making it look like the debris from wet loose avalanches.
• D1-2 wet loose avalanches in steep, southerly slopes.
• 1 small (D1) wet slab avalanche that failed on a convex, rocky, southwesterly slope at about 6000 feet in Stevens Canyon (see avalanche tab)
• No apparent cornice fall avalanches in the terrain visible from Highway 2.
