Quick Observation

Toured up the south aspect above Marion Lake. While the sun was out for most of the day it seemed like the lingering clouds kept it a lil cooler thankfully. Bright sunshine came and went. On the South aspect at 6800' the snowpack was 200-250cm deep. Our ECT test in the same area was negative. However with a shovel shear the slab did pop off with energy.

Skiing down the obvious south facing sunny areas did have sun effected heavier snow, which only got heavier as we descended.

Across the way (to the North) there was an obvious 1-2' crown at about 6000' on a south facing aspect. Because of the distance I could not see an obvious trigger, picture included.
