Mosied up Cascade today for a quick mellow tour. Found dust on supportable crust/firm snow to ~5k', then a buried breakable crust to 6k'. At and above 6k' we found 15-20cm of decomposing right-side-up new snow on top of the thin( 1cm thick) 1/18 rain crust. Kicked off small managable loose-snow sluffs on any slope or rollover above 35 degrees while skiing back down and out. The breakable and hooky crust below 6k' kept us on our toes during our exit. No wind effect noted on any slopes throughout the tour. No cracking, collapsing or recent avalanches observed either.
