Quick Observation
The higher you go, the better it gets. Below 5500', roughly 20cm of new snow over the March 4 crust, but above 6000' if ramped up to 40cm (20cm or so from Friday, 20cm last night).
At 6500' E, I found some shooting cracks on a wind roll and saw wind texture near the Swan crest, but did not observe any natural windslab or dry loose releases. Dry loose was definitely running with the snowmo on steeps in the trees.
On a dig near a saddle at 6500’ N, I found CTH (SP) x2 dn 45cm between crusts on 1-2mm facets. Interesting that it was below the top thin crust. A few hand shears during the day revealed a strong bond of the new snow to the crust.
Weather alternated between overcast and broken, off and on S-1 flurries but no accumulation. Light N winds, gusting to moderate at my elevations
As well reported, heaps of debris piles all over from last week. Mostly D2-D2.5 in that drainage.
