Wish I didn't skin so far to ski 2 grand. O well? What we did ski was good because we were on top of our line before noon. A poor overnight freeze made surfaces moist up to 5,500 feet and really wet below that. Glopping made the work extra hard on the way up. We bailed on objective one when a fresh wet loose slide occurred sometime early morning? We skinned up a N facing slope and dug many hand pits on the way up because the confidence was low on the stability of the snowpack. Above 5800' there was a 40 cm slab on top of a crust that pulled out with moderate force. Above that in open slopes a 6" wind slab pulled out with easy force. On our ski down we do not trigger any avalanches, but lower roller balls chased us down the slope. It was a one and done day!
