The visual aid shows aspect and elevation bands where avalanches failing on basal weak layers have been occurring. The problem layer is weak snow from October and early to mid-November that remained on shaded slopes at upper elevations. This is now what we are classifying as a Deep Slab problem. Information was taken from 12/20 to 01/25.
