Toured to the ridge north of Marion Lake/Creek above Dicky Creek. Rain to about 5000ft, and then mixed snow/rain becoming all snow ar about 5500ft. Observed shooting cracks, roller balls at lower elevations, blowing snow, and observed one loose avalance on opposite side of Marion Creek. Dug a pit at 6700ft on a South East aspect. Durring collomn test we noticed a lot of different layers failing, including the new storm snow failing at CT5 at 22cm down. Durring our ECT, we observed same storm snow failing at ECTP2 at 22cm, and then ECTP19 at 50cm down on a melt/freeze crust. Skied low angle terrain in treed areas and had good skiing.
Loose wet avalanch observed on the on the slop to the south of Marion Creek. Appeared to have been triggered by snow falling off a tree due to high winds.
