Went up for a tour in the middle fork. Stayed below a cloud layer hovering at 6700 that day. Light snow in the afternoon. Dug a pit around 6500ft on an E/NE aspect/leeward slope right below a ridgeline. Found multiple layers of stubborn wind slabs that were not reactive. Persistent layers were 60cm and 75cm down and seemed to be stabilizing. I couldn't get them to react to our tests. We didn't expose ourselves to large overhead hazards and put in some short laps in protected terrain. Great skiing. We did observe isolated surface hoar forming on the ridgeline from the previous few days of clear skies.
