Today we traveled into the Middle Fork Corridor above rail grade to assess the distribution of crusts and new snow instabilities.
No signs of instability led us to feel comfortable skiing avalanche terrain. The terrain we skied was planar and lacked obvious trigger points. We avoided the leeward side of the path which had a large cornice on the upper part of the ridge.
