Numerous (>30) wet loose avalanches sized D1-D2 occurred on slopes facing all aspects within the GTSR corridor on Tuesday afternoon. Debris from one avalanche covered the road up to 12 feet deep. These avalanches occurred despite mostly cloudy conditions beginning around 1100 am and persisting all day. The combination of new snow from the previous weekend, warming above freezing, and a bit of morning sun created unstable surface snow conditions.
